The YMCA of Greater Vancouver and the YMCA/YWCA of Kamloops partner to offer the young people of both communities a rewarding camp experience. Hidden in the Interlakes district of the famous Cariboo Plateau, this camp’s 95 acres overlook the north arm of beautiful Deka Lake. There are hundreds of lakes to paddle and trails to explore in this vast wilderness of breathtaking vistas, beaver dams, eagle nests, fish runs and deer paths. At Camp Deka, we have been providing YMCA camp experiences for youth since 1990. Our programs ensure a unique personal experience full of adventure.

The perfect introduction for young campers or campers who may be a little nervous about summer camp. Our emphasis is on providing each of our campers with the individual attention that they need. Junior Campers will experience as many of the Deka program areas as possible during their stay. Activities include canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, archery, fishing, disc golf, arts and crafts and the famous Deka Regatta!

This two-week program is intended to provide campers with more thorough knowledge of Deka program areas including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, archery, fishing, disc golf and arts and crafts. Senior Campers at Deka experience a two-night out trip as well as take part in the Deka Regatta!
