Welcome to YMCA Camp Elphinstone!

Virtual Tour Find Us! (pdf, 56k)
Since 1907, Camp Elphinstone has been guiding young people through experiences, creating memories that last a lifetime. Camp Elphinstone provides campers with action packed programs, ensuring a fun filled summer. Campers will work together with their cabin group, creating close bonds, and friendships that extend beyond the summer. Campers will have the opportunity to experience all areas at camp to receive a well rounded camp experience.

YMCA Camp Elphinstone is located on BC's Sunshine Coast near Gibsons, a 40-minute ferry ride from Vancouver. It offers wonderful one-week and two-week camping adventures for campers six to 16 years old. We are committed to the development of individual campers through the cabin group process, over a kilometre of oceanfront, land-based activities and outtrips. Camp Elphinstone is home to campers from as far away as Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Mexico as well as the Lower Mainland.

Our Commitment to Parents and Caregivers

We believe that the YMCA summer experience is an important building block in creating strong kids, strong families and strong communities. We believe that it is our responsibility to provide role models, resources and opportunities to ensure that children and youth are well cared for in a nurturing environment outside the home. We believe that positive development begins when we are young, and that YMCA summer programs have a role to play in fostering healthy and happy adults. Our residential camps are all BCCA-accredited, and all of our staff are certified in First Aid and CPR. During times near or in the water, campers are also supervised by certified lifeguards and swimming instructors.
