Registration is now open for Langara YMCA Spring Break Day Camps. We’ve got adventure camps for 6 to 12 year olds, teen camps for 12 to 14 year olds and counsellor-in-training camps for 14-16 year olds. Two weeks of fun with friends!

Wed, Nov. 9 YMCA Fitness Knowledge / Basic Theory (BCRPA Recognized)

"Learn about your body & how to exercise"

The first step to becoming a Personal Trainer or Group Fitness, Weight Training or Aqua-fit Instructor.
YMCA Fitness Theory course is the pre-requisite course to all of the fitness certification courses. It's the 1st. course to complete in your journey to become a Fitness Professional. Once you complete your Basic Theory Course you will be eligible to take the Group Fitness Module, Individual Conditioning Module, Personal Training Course, Third Age (seniors), Yoga or Pilates Modules.

Wed, Nov. 9 YMCA Group Fitness Module (BCRPA Recognized)

"Have the power to motivate & transform others as a Group Fitness Leader"

Gain confidence & leadership skills with the YMCA Group Fitness Module. Learn to get out your comfort zone and shine in front of the class! This module will give you the tools to design a safe group fitness class. Individual Conditioning Leaders & Personal Trainers can expand can adapt their programs to include training for smalls groups. Group leaders can expand their skills with Hi-lo, Step, Total Body Conditioning, Cycling, Boot camp & Kickboxing.

Sunday December 4th (8:00am - 2:00pm)
Saturday December 10th (8:00am - 2:00pm)

Research has shown that strengthening exercises are safe and effective for women of all ages. In fact, it can help prevent heart disease, osteoporosis, and other conditions. Prepare for your golden years with our expert trainers.

Wed, Nov. 9 Fitness Kickboxing
Practiced around the world to improve fitness, kickboxing incorporates strikes with your hands and feet. Participants will improve their fitness while learning various self defense methods.
* No Sparring or direct contact with participants.

Thu, Jul 21 NEW! Sibling Swim Lessons
Wouldn’t it be nice to have all of your kids’ swimming lessons at the same time? Sign up for Sibling Swim Lessons and your children ages 6-12 can swim at the same time on the same day, regardless of level! We even have a Preschool Sibling Swim at the same time for your 3-5 year old to join.
Starting in September: Tuesdays or Thursdays 6:00 pm–6:30 pm or Saturdays 1:30pm–2:00pm.
