Youth: Growing up should be fun

Grab a smoothie in the café with friends, shoot some hoops or just chill in the whirlpool. Hey, we'll even help you get a job. Join one of our programs for youth and make the Robert Lee YMCA your own. Check out the info below and schedules to the right.

Sports

What's your game? Soccer, badminton, karate, volleyball or basketball? Like a little bit of everything? Try our multi-sports or open gym time. Check out all our drop-in and registered options.

Aquatics

Jump in! Improve your stroke in a registered swim lesson, or splash around with friends during open-swim. Taking a breather in our whirlpool or steamroom is also a great way to catch up with friends and be rejuvenated.

Teen Strength Training

Are all those fitness machines catching your eye? Learn how to create and implement a strength training plan that is right for you. Once you take this session, you can use the cardio and strength training machines on your own - anytime you want.

Youth Leadership Development

You've got influence - why not use it for good? YLD helps you get to know yourself better, become a skilled leader and interact with a variety of people and experiences. Plus, you'll make friends for life and have fun.

YMCA Collectively Canadian Program, Youth Leadership

Lead by doing! Focusing on diversity, generational or environmental issues, youth in CCP become leaders, make friends and gain valuable experience by putting important skills into practice through weekly training sessions and planning a community project. Youth in Grades 10-12 should apply to fiona.stevenson at vanymca.org.

Youth Mean Business

Are you between the ages of 18-29? Do you love starting projects and seeing them take off? All you need is a great business idea and we'll help you launch the business of your dreams!
