Everything we do at the Langara Family YMCA Day Camp is designed to build skill and build character because we understand the impact that day camps can have on youth. Our Day Camps are a guided experience. Guiding your children through their day camp experience is the camp counselor. We carefully choose our staff and give them the tools to create community and to promote self-esteem in the camper. Our staff are strong role models who ensure that your child will participate in a safe and fun day camp experience.

The Langara Family YMCA Day Camps are safe environments where children can grow and develop. A YMCA Day Camp experience is designed to help campers feel good about themselves. Our staff are all certified in First Aid and CPR and during the swimming time campers will be supervised by staff who are certified lifeguards and swimming instructors.

The Langara Family YMCA provides lessons to children of all ages. Our values based swimming lessons give children the opportunity to: learn fundamental water skills; practice water safety; develop leadership skills; promotes family involvement; learn first aid; stay fit and have fun.

Summer classes will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday and Sunday mornings. Private one on one lessons with a YMCA instructor are also available. For more information please contact the Aquatics Director at (604) 324-9622 extension 239.
