YMCA Child Care Resource & Referral serves the communities of Anmore, Belcarra, Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.
The YMCA Child Care Resource & Referral assists parents in finding child care for children newborn to 12 years of age. Here’s what we can do for you:
| · | Provide referrals from our registry of licensed family child care, licensed group child care facilities and registered License Not Required (LNR) family child care providers |
| · | Provide child care subsidy information and assistance |
| · | Provide parents with child care referrals based on their specific needs |
| · | Provide information on how to evaluate child care programs |
| · | Provide informative newsletters and parent educational opportunities |

Circle of Friends Parent/Caregiver and Child/Family Resource Program
Circle of Friends is a free program for all parents/caregivers and children aged 0-6.
Parents/caregivers and children from birth to six years of age can play and experience fun activities in a warm and welcoming environment. Children will have the opportunity to socialize, learn new skills, play with toys, take part in art activities, sing songs, enjoy stories, have a snack and more!
Parents and caregivers have access to various resources and learning opportunities. Borrow toys, puzzles, videos, books and other materials from the lending library. Learn more about child development, parenting issues and resources in your community.
Drop in anytime during operating hours and meet others who spend their days with young children. Network and share parenting and family ideas. Experience a morning of fun and enjoy a cup of coffee while your children play near by!
Circle of Friends hosts drop-in programs at two locations:
Central Elementary
2260 Central Street, Port Coquitlam
(access from the lane behind the school)
Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:45 am
James Park Elementary
Located in the annex, on Coquitlam Avenue off Oxford Street.
Port Coquitlam
Hours: Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:45 am
Circle of Friends will not operate on school holidays or Professional Development days.
