A child's development is profoundly affected by the quality of their relationships with their caregivers. Quality child care has at its core child care providers that are knowledgeable, compassionate, flexible, and who genuinely enjoy working with children.
Quality child care respects the role of the family and works with parents to ensure that the child's needs are met. It provides opportunities for children to feel good about themselves, experience positive social interaction and engage in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that take into account individual differences. It is warm, supportive, clean, safe and well-supervised.
The CCRR has many benefits of membership. We offer a range of services that support you in your efforts to provide the highest quality of child care possible, from educational and networking opportunities to resource lending, newsletters, home visits and consultation. You will also benefit from our comprehensive community outreach and promotional activities that will inform the community of the important work that you do. You will be part of an organization that works diligently to enhance the availability and quality of a range of child care options available in our community.

Typically, home liability insurance does not extend to cover children you are being paid to take care of. Ensuring you have adequate liability insurance is important for the well-being of the children you are caring for as well as for your own economic protection. Inform your current insurance carrier if you are being paid to care for children in your home and enquire about purchasing additional liability insurance for the child care. There are a number of insurance carriers that offer discount prices to child care providers who are members of their local CCRR. Please contact our offices for more details.
